How many of you have a horse that is really hard to get into the arena.? or just acts goofy before and after they get into or out of the arena? If  you trail ride your horse....three times a week...IT really helps...my horse used to act up all of the time...my barrel trainer told me to trail ride him...Don't take him around the barrels..don't even do any barrel exercises....Most of the time your horse acts that way because he only gets rode in a barrel race and he or she thinks that it's go time all the time..my horse went from goofy to laid back..now he enters the arena quietly and is easy to slow down and handle......Spending time with your horse is key...because if he or she trusts you then your barrel racing career will be much better...and you have the love and trust of your best friend...
