Here goes my first blog...

This weekend was our district finals. I usually would bring 3 horses but my one mare is have some feet problems. Getting better! Hopefully I will be able to run her next weekend. Anyways I took my 2 geldings. They both were ran in the 2 opens and the youth both days, which is a ton of running to do. My paint gelding who is usually a pretty solid 2d horse in tough competition wasnt doing so hot. Most of the paterns I have ran him at so far were smaller. This patern was quite a bit bigger and he is still pretty inconsistant he is young so I expect that from him, I am trying to do as much hauling with him as possible because he can sure make a nice pattern when he does. My other horse was running pretty good. First day wasnt the greatest but I qualified for the short go and I ran a 1d time and was 6th in the short go, top five got to draw for a saddle the rest got headstalls, breastcollars, etc. Man, I was so close! Next day, I ran some great times with him, I got 1st in the 1d in youth, 2nd in the 1d in the 2nd open, and 2nd in the 2d in the 1st open. It was a long but good weekend.
