Hi everyone.
first of all - sorry for may-be-mistakes in my English, I don't use it everyday so it could be a bit hard to read ;)
A few words about my horse. :) Roki is 10-years old gelding, he's standardbred, a trotter but he never haas been used in harness racing. He just stood on the field eating grass.
I bought him when Roki qas 8. I was riding in English style since a year that day and roki was hard for me - stubborn, with no trust for people. I heard that when he was younger, Gypsy women came to the stable (when the owner was out) and beated him to blood with a whip. Since now he has remains of it on the skin.
I had to teach him everything - giving legs, standing still, he was nervous and a bit nasty.
English riding was a nightmare, he didn't want to collect, to canter or even go straight.
When I started riding western to the nearest western city and I was training on schooled horse, I tried the same on Roki. He answered with great relaxation, calmness and generally it was it!
Now we are riding by ourselves, although I had one trainer who taught us basics but now I have to deal on my own, but it's not that bad.
Talking about Roki's character - he's now calm, queit, he is of course sometimes a bit nervous but it's normal, it's a horse ;)
He's got a big big trust for me, that's my biggest joy. I think he knows that he's safe with me and nobody would hurt him anymore.
That's all for now :) I hope you didin't get bored ;)
