Well, It's been a long time since I've been on here...I've changed a few things since July of last year. I got rid of all my young horses and got two sweet geldings to take their place. One of them is a 10 yr old paint head horse that I've started on barrels! He's amazing!! I absolutely love him!! The other is a 7 yr old buckskin gelding. He was still pretty green when I got him, but he's coming along nicely and my 13 year old niece has taken him over. He's a real sweetheart.
Other than that nothing much has changed...Staying busy with the kiddos and looking forward to some more warmer weather!!!
Well, the new barrel prospect didn't work out as well as planned! He is a real sweetheart, but LAZY as they come! LOL I rode him around the pasture and down the road and he does great, BUT when you ask him to work it is a completely different story! I want to trot, he wants to buck....I want to lope, he wants to buck....I want to turn, he wants to buck....Well you can see we aren't getting too far at this rate.
Needless to say he went back home to his previous owners and they can have fun with him! I'll miss having him around because he is a fun little horse, but just not going to work out for me!
So, once again, I'm searching high and low for another barrel prospect! This seems to be a never ending battle for me here lately. Wish me luck!!
Well, I was able to find a new barrel prospect and so far so good! Twister is a 4 yr old sorrel gelding. A friend of mine has had this horse for 2 years and has been trying to get me to buy him all this time...Well, I went and looked at him when he was a 2 yr old and I didn't like him at all...Well, I finally went and looked at him again and he has really grown up and has a great personality! He isn't all that pretty to look at right now, but I think once he fills out a little bit he'll be okay! He has a big heart and rides well so that is all that matters!

Katie Jolena is 2 yr old dun filly. She is registered AQHA. If intersted I can email you her pedigree. She is halter broke, stands tied, bathes, loads, etc..She is not started under saddle, but should make a nice prospect for anything and use as a broodmare later! She sports that popular dun color and is a flashy little filly..I've got to get rid of her because I'm looking to buy a broke horse to start on barrels..Asking $1250 obo.
I am new to this site and looking to make some friends who share my same interests! I am happily married with 3 wonderful children(two boys and a girl)! My family means the world to me! During my spare time(which is slim! haha) I enjoy riding horses, barrel racing, and spending time with friends and family!
Right now I own 5 horses with the hopes of getting rid of a couple and purchasing a new barrel prospect. I'm not sure where I'll find the time to get one trained, but I'll find a way! I also own my own business, The Candy Arrangement. (www.thecandyarrangement.com) We make and sell candy bouquet, cookie bouquets, etc.. At least t-ball and baseball are over for the time being so maybe I can squeeze a few rides in!
