    AL NBHA State Finals!

Thursday, June 14, 2007, 10:00 PM CST [General]

Well it was a blast while it lasted, but I am glad that it is over!

I finished 3rd in the 1D in the Open 2nd go and 10th in the final go due to poor ground conditions.

Running at 12:45 am was not fun just to hit a barrel, but that's what happens when a storm comes through and cuts the power out.

Gotta give a shout out to my friend, Cody! She won the Teen 4D and got 3rd in the 4D too!

Hey, I was at finals. That storm was terrible wasnt it? I didnt place but was just happy to be there. I did run my best time so far. 19.109. I dont have the fear of falling off so much now and it seems I improve my time just a little each time I ride. I went not with the expectations of winning but just for the experience. That was only the 2nd time I have rode in front of a big crowd. The first time was at Martha Joseys Reunion Roundup in Texas. And that Friday on 1st go I was crying and having a real panic attack almost passed out and I had my friend Kathy taking to me and then a friend from Jay on the phone and then RE Josey came up and gave me some encouraging words and then I could breathe and then Saturday I was fine

My friend Kathy did take 3rd in 3D at the finals and I was very happy for her. I will get there one day. I havent even been riding a year yet so as long as I kkep improving a little at a time I am happy. Sandy Wells, Atmore, AL
